Deny. They had one great game, they have not been consistent throughout the season. You have to remember the first game against the Bucs they were held to 40 yards I believe. Therefore they are not.
As for better, Johnson and White for sure. Used to be LT and Turner in SD but Turner was traded. Same with Barber and Julius Jones in Dallas last year before Jones was traded to Seattle. Adrian Petersen and Chester Taylor in Minnesota are probably better as well. More consistent runners. Same with in New Orleans, Bush and McCallister are pretty legit, and Pierre Thomas did pretty well last game, yet to see if he will be consistent or not. Also you have the Miami running backs, Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown. Thanks to the Wildcat Formation they have been doing pretty darn well.
EDIT: Better stiff arm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-8m1...eature=related

Forgot to mention jacobs and ward. Giants are one of the leaders in rushing this year (if not the leaders..haven't checked stats recently). Racking up +200 rushing yards vs the ravens has to count for something.

Jacobs+Ward=1671 yds this season, 5.02 yds per carry
Johnson+White= 1768 yds this season, 4.51 yds per carry
Bush+McCallister= 691 yds this season, 3.64 yds per carry (plagued by injuries)
Williams+Brown= 1312 yds this season, 4.15 yds per carry
Petersen+Taylor= 1736 yds this season, 4.59 yds per carry
Williams+Stewart= 1840 yds this season, 5.20 yds per carry
Yes they have the best yds combined this season and highest yards per carry but lets look further into this. In half the games this season, they were held to UNDER 100 yds and in 2 games they were held under 50 yds. They are getting their stats from breakout games, like against the Bucs. Like I said before, they are not consistent. They have there good games but they also have their bad games.
The Giants running back due are getting more consistent then the Panthers. While they have their high running back under 100 yards in 8 games, they are usually right around 100 yards per game. Minus the game against Pitt who is still trying to revive the Steel Curtain of old. Pitt is only allowing 73 yds against the run a game.
Lets see who the Panthers got 100 yards against for their top runner.
Chargers-Nope
Bears- Nope
Vikings- Nope
Falcons- Nope
Chiefs- Yup (2-11 team)
Bucs- Nope (under 40 yds of rushing total)
Saints- Nope
Cardinals- Yup (Pretty good, they got 101 out of their top rusher vs a team allowing 97)
Oakland- Yup (140 yds for top rusher big game vs a bad team who is allowing 159 ypg)
Lions- Yup (130 yds for top rusher vs a really bad team 0-13 allowing 174 ypg)
Falcons- Yup (101 for top, but they are allowing 122 ypg)
Packers- Nope
Bucs- Yup (huge game, where they probably pulled ahead of other running back duos)
Not exactly consistent, slashing teams that are bad (Chiefs, Raiders, Lions). They got some legit ones in there but not enough imo to be the "best".

The best combo used to be Parker+Bettis. Parker gets down the field then Bettis pushes for the TD, won them a superbowl and got them a 15-1 season before that.

So just to bring this back up for the sake of me being right...
Tonight Panthers vs Giants. Jacobs and Ward vs Stewart and Williams head to head. So lets see how they lined up.
Panthers:
Williams: 24 carries 108 yards
Stewart: 9 carries 29 yards
Combined: 33 carries for 137 yards
Giants:
Ward: 15 carries 205 yards
Jacobs: 24 carries 87 yards
Combined: 39 carries for 302 yards
So the winner is clear, Giants would appear to have the best running back duo.

Trust me next years best RB duo will be McFadden and Michael Bush! Hopefully the raiders will turn things around in the off-season by getting The Big Tuna aka Bill Parcell!

As soon as Al Davis gets brought into the conversation anybody supporting Oakland has automatically lost their argument. It's like playing a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Sucker Punch to the Throat. Once somebody goes Sucker Punch, it's done.

That isn't really saying much as the Lions were the first ever to do that. I was, however, quite shocked to see Oakland beat Tampa Bay but even then as long as Davis owns them and their defense is still shit they will be nothing, kind of how SD is going to get completely owned in the playoffs because they have absolutely no defense.
LT and the other SD running back yesterday are good and you may say they are amazing after the game verse Denver but they were playing Denver, a shit team with a shit defense. I want to see SD vs. Steelers, they will get crushed because they will be completely shut down.

true MMSDOME, I think as long as Davis is thinking he can run the team through the head coach. Nothing will be changed until he is gone. I'm hoping to see Dolphins taking on Colts for AFC Championship game. That would be epic!!

The AFC championship is basically the superbowl as whoever wins that wins the superbowl. It won't be Miami vs. Colts though because Miami can't beat Baltimore and I don't see the Colts beating the Steelers. If I am wrong, however, I give you permission to laugh at me.
